We cater to thousands of guests each year and see the environmental impact of large scale events up close and personal.
At Good Gracious! Events we follow safe and sustainable business practices whenever possible to make a better world for today and tomorrow.
FOOD
It matters to us where our food comes from. We believe in using fresh, seasonal, plant-based ingredients to support our local sustainable agriculture.
Whenever possible we source ingredients for our kitchen from regional farms, artisanal producers and environmentally conscious purveyors.
HOW TO PLAN A SUSTAINABLE EVENT for a better tomorrow...
- Choose reusable items whenever possible such as china, linen, flatware, and glassware
- Use compostable cups, napkins and utensils when necessary
- Provide bins for composting and recycling
- Use fair trade coffee and tea
- Choose locally grown, seasonal, and sustainable products
- Choose responsibly processed seafood (seafoodwatch.org)
- Choose locally produced beer and wine
- Choose healthy menu items that are low in sugar, fat and salt

PALM LEAF DINNERWARE BY VERTERRA
Created by CEO Michael Dwork, this dinnerware is made from fallen Palm Tree leaves.
This product is a stylish alternative to disposable paper and plastic plates.
No trees are ever harvested or cut down to produce this product. No chemicals, waxes or dyes or additives are applied.
BALSA WOOD PLATTERS BY VERTERRA
This product was invented when Verterra learned the damaging statistics of how many tree stumps were left behind by the milling industry.
This product is made out of balsa wood and rice paper liner. We think it is quite fabulously practical and always chic in appearance!
DRINKING CUPS BY TOSSWARE
This product is made with a crystal-clear blend of BPA free recycled polymer; It’s shatterproof and super sustainable.
By repurposing recycled water bottles.
FLIPSIDE EVENT CLEANING SERVICES
We have created a great partnership with all our off-premise event services with FLIPSIDE.
They provide post event recycling and trash services. They also help to safely donate untouched food and flowers to community members in need.
One of their many services includes an eco-clean approach to home and event venues. By using ecologically safe cleaning products, including compostable trash bags and reusable gloves, they make the most of producing minimal trash and water waste after every service.
