My Perspective On Teamwork

I recently was fortunate enough to see a performance of OVO Cirque de Soleil at Microsoft Theater, complete with a VIP experience with the whole Good Gracious! Events team as a little THANK YOU for all the outstanding hard work they did to execute an event! 


The performance was absolutely brilliant, and I was mesmerized by the cleverness of the costumes, the outstanding talent and fascinated by the production of the event!


As I watched the show, I thought about all the effort that went into creating such a mesmerizing production. It reminded me of the work my staff puts into every single event they work. The teamwork that was happening on stage is what it takes to be the best at whatever profession you choose in life!


Everyone has a role to play in making the show exquisite. The main characters are supported by the whole team to make them shine in the role they play.


As I watched each and every intricate detail of the characters coming on and off the stage, I envisioned our team doing a plated dinner with the culinary team syncing with the front of house crew. In both instances timing is paramount.


Trust is a huge part of any workplace. You have to trust the people you work with do the job as expected. I watched these artists throwing each other about, trusting they would be seamlessly thrown and caught. No matter our job, we all have to find trust in one another.


Teamwork and the desire to be the best you can be in your field of work brings the feeling of satisfaction and success of a job well done!

We have smaller teams working in the kitchen so that everyone is adequately spaced 6 feet apart per WHO guidelines. We have also implemented temperature scanning upon arrival to our kitchen and encourage our staff to stay home and use company-paid sick hours if they are not feeling well.

Our team wears gloves and masks while on the premises. They wash hands hourly at minimum and sanitize the kitchen frequently throughout each day using EPA-approved disinfectant for the fight against COVID-19.  

Our food has always been prepared on-site daily to ensure freshness and upmost safety standards. Ordering and payment are done through our website so that our guests can enjoy contactless curbside pick-up. 

Our new packaging includes meal seals to ensure the food and drink items have not been opened or tampered with during the pick-up or delivery process.
