Pauline’s second edition of her five favorites things is here! We received such a positive response from Pauline’s Five Favorite Things we thought we would go for round 2.
I am a true fan of watches. It doesn’t take much to sway me to buy a watch. I mean, it is a wonderful accessory statement. Also, I am sure I am in the minority but to this day, I still look at my watch to see the time and NOT at my cell phone!
As one might say every girl likes a little blue box as a gift but this girl actually likes the little red box! I love the Tank Solo Watch collection because it has a modern and modest design with a classic look. It is stainless steel and therefore does not have the price point of silver and gold. Gotta love that, a luxury that you might say is affordable?? It is pretty fabulous!
Shun Cutlery’s Premier 7 Santoku Knife
I just LOVE to have one knife that fits my hands perfectly for all cutting tasks in the kitchen and this knife fits the bill perfectly. It is an Asian inspired multi-tasking knife that handles every kitchen cutting job, beautifully! VG-MAX super steel, contoured handle, lightweight and agile, the Santoku Knife is a great knife to have…and I found it at Macy’s of all places!
This story began in Gioia Del Colle, the heart of where fresh mozzarella is known in Italy and where the Girardi family became cheesemakers. Vito Girardi is the third generation of the Girardi family who took on the adventure of moving to California to introduce a truly fresh authentic mozzarella to the American pallet!
Well, he succeeded, their burrata is absolutely fabulous and I LOVE sharing with our clients to let them know it is local and produced right here in South El Monte is great! They are always open for walk-ins if you would like to purchase from their factory or you can give them a call or email to find out where their cheese is distributed! Ciao!
For those that know me you are all aware that I LOVE red wine. I wrote an entire blog on it! I get excited when I discover new wines, especially when they are delivered to my doorstep. I discovered Ancient Peaks about a year ago when I journeyed with my family to Santa Margarita for a zip line tour over the vines, oh my what a way to go – FUN! This was followed by a wonderful tasting of their wines where we drank and ate from a delicious cheese and charcuterie board……..a fabulous afternoon as you can imagine! Needless to say, I was sold on their sustainability practices. They are family-owned and the vines are estate-grown! Oh, and did I say the wine is delicious? Guess who became a member!?
Anyway, I thought I would highlight one of the wines which are a favorite of mine, the oyster ridge, which is a blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdo, cabernet franc, and Malbec. These vines are farmed from the large white oyster fossils that spill out of the ground fostering the type of calcium-rich soil winemakers love! Cheers to a fabulous bottle of wine.
My son is an absolute fashionista when it comes to sneakers. He has more pairs than Imelda Marcos, I am sure of it! With his influence and my desire for having much more feet comfort, I became a sneaker convert a couple of years ago. I just LOVE what the shoe industry is producing in sneakers and that they are now a bit of a fashion statement! In my world of events, this is a win-win as we spend countless hours on our feet. Hello, comfort!
A Christmas gift from my son, I am, at the moment, enjoying the iconic tennis shoe produced by Adidas for Stan Smith.
